Winston

This month's Dog of the Month is Winston.

Sadly, Winston crossed the rainbow bridge in May, so I wanted to dedicate this month's feature to him and celebrate the incredible impact he had on so many people.

Winston was an adorable rescue Chihuahua whose photos always managed to brighten my day. Whether he was posing for one of his signature photoshoots or simply being his charming self, he had a way of making people smile. Winston was a wonderful example of why senior dogs deserve a chance. His mom has done an amazing job advocating for senior dog adoption and showing just how much love, personality, and joy older dogs have to offer.

Winston was also a fantastic brother to the many foster dogs that came through his home, helping countless pups on their journey to finding forever families. His legacy lives on not only through the memories he created, but through the advocacy and rescue work that continues in his honor.

We will miss seeing your sweet face, Winston, but your impact will never be forgotten. If you don't already follow Winston's mom, I highly recommend it. She continues to share her adorable dogs while advocating for rescue dogs, senior dogs, and pitties alike, spreading the same love and compassion that Winston inspired every day.

Marlee's Monthly Favorite:
Matress Topper

For the past few months, Marlee had slowly stopped sleeping in bed with me. She would hop up like normal, but within a few minutes she'd get up and move to the guest bedroom for the night. After doing some research, I learned that my mattress might actually be too soft for her.

As Marlee approaches her 8th birthday (how is my baby almost 8?!), I've become much more aware of her comfort and joint health. Softer mattresses can sometimes be difficult for older dogs to get comfortable on, especially if they're starting to experience a few aches and pains.

After some searching, I decided to try a firm mattress topper, and the difference has been incredible. Since adding it to my bed, Marlee has been sleeping next to me throughout the entire night again. I've missed our bedtime cuddles more than I realized, and it makes me so happy knowing she's comfortable enough to stay close while still getting the support she needs.

I picked this one up on Amazon for around $90, and it's easily become one of my favorite purchases of the year- for both of us.
